Sarah Palin in Washington Post

You are the editor of a newspaper, and would like your readers to see you as a smart thought provoking source of news. You decide that this thing with letting other people write things for your paper is a really good thing. You might decide to do like the New York Times and have Paul Krugman write some nice and smart words for you. But as Washington Post has shown, you really don´t have to. You can actually instead recruit someone who argues that Alaska’s closeness to Kamchatka makes her an ideal vice president, and who believes that the tiny droplets of oil that can be found along the US coast will have any influence on U.S. dependency of foreign oil, and who (of course) knows as much about climate change as she knows about cases in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Yes it is easy to criticize Sarah Palin, and why Washington Post wants her as a spokesperson is beyond me. In her latest post in Washington Post, Palin argues against acting against climate change, and praises (surprise) Alaska for its huge quantities of oil.

Palin, if you have some free time during the summer (I guess you do since you just decided to escape the post as local politician in Alaska because it was to hard), then I would advise you to read this one. It´s about you.
